The Moray Firth have an excellent gundog club, very sociable lot and good crack,I won a test there a few weeks back.
That area is great but full of the dreaded midges.
A mate is a keeper on Cawder estate which is a hudge concern for grouse and partridges (all commercial though).
Keep up the training and we might see your name on a few cups soon, if you want to join the morray firth at a later date let me know and I get you a form.
catch you later I'm off to bed the eyes are going together here.
I'm in the sleepy village of Coalsnaughton, it's at the foot of the Ochil hills along from Stirling.
The closest town is Tillicoultry (1/2 mile), where the big furniture warehouse (Sterling) is.
Do you know the area ?
Don't think I know it. Love Scotland though, got married at Gretna and have been up to the higlands, round the Moray Firth (Findhorn Bay) and the Cromarty.
We hope to retire there one day, somewhere within shooting distance of course.
Does your hubby know a very keen fowler called Mark Breeze, he sat on the committee of the Solway wildfowlers on both the Scottish and the English side!
Mark is a good mate of mines from when I used to do a lot of fowling he comes up a couple of times a year and we go out on the river Forth which is on my
doorstep.
Good luck with trialing, it's something I've gotten into recently but have trained in that discipline for a few years and it's a sport that could
do with new blood.
A goldie eh, I'm a lab guy but have seen a few good Goldies.
I like to see good going cockers too.
He doesn't know anyone of that name. He's shot the Solway quite a lot but no so much in recent years, he tends to go further north nowadays.
Whereabouts in Scotland are you.
Hi Matilda

Reply from matilda:
Hi Adam, I am between Doncaster and Goole, about 50 miles from North Allerton. Am enjoying the forum, hubby has been a keen wildfowler for years and my
interest is in the dogs (and cooking the wildfowl). Love to read others experiences of training, trialing and their experiences in the field. Plan to venture
into field trials with my next dog, have had a Goldie and Labs (have a working lab now) and plan to try a working Cocker next.
